Your privacy matters to us. At Muulin, we handle your personal data with care and protect it with real, considered measures. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Muulin is a brand of Flaxline Tekstiil OÜ (registry code 11153907; Alajaama 8, 11314 Tallinn, Estonia) - the controller of your personal data. We process personal data under the laws of Estonia and the European Union, including the GDPR. Questions: info@muulin.com. What we collect
- Details you give us: name, gender, date of birth, phone number, email, postal address, and purchase history.
- You share this with us when you join our newsletter or loyalty program, make a purchase on muulin.com or in our studio, or otherwise give us your details through our website or another channel (such as Facebook or Instagram). By doing so, you consent to us processing it.
- Everything you share is treated as confidential. Payment data travels encrypted between you, the banks, and the card-payment processor — Muulin never sees or stores your card or bank details.
Why we use it
We use your data to keep our promise to you: to process and deliver your orders and talk with you about them; to run your account and our website services; to manage the loyalty program; to analyse purchases and improve our products, service, and shopping experience; and, with your permission, to send you news, offers, and event invitations.
We'll only email you marketing if you've given us permission — in our studio, on our website, or via another channel — and you can withdraw it at any time. To understand you better, we may combine what you tell us with information about your interests and purchases, including publicly available and demographic information. We may contact you by email, post, or phone for market research, always in line with the choices you've made.
Who we share it with
We work with carefully chosen partners (authorised processors) who handle data only on our behalf, under agreements requiring them to keep it confidential and protected as the law demands. These include providers of point-of-sale software, software development, logistics, payments, and marketing — for example Omniva, Itella Smartpost, Google, Facebook (Meta), PayPal, Stripe, and Parcely.
We don't allow these partners to use your data for anything else, and we don't otherwise share it — unless the law requires it or it's needed for a legal claim. Data may also be processed by companies in the same group as Muulin, and their employees, strictly for their duties.
How we keep it safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and access is limited to authorised people. We take every reasonable step to guard against unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. Please note, though, that no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed fully secure; we can't be held responsible for a breach that isn't due to our negligence.
Your rights
Write to us at info@muulin.com to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; have it erased; withdraw your consent to processing, where it applies; and, in some cases, restrict or object to processing.
To leave our marketing list, click "unsubscribe" in any of our emails or contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee). We keep your personal data for a maximum of five (5) years from when we receive it.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information a website stores in your browser. We use them to see which pages are visited and how often, to make muulin.com easier to use, and to remember your details so you don't have to re-enter them each visit. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you don't have to — you can turn them off via your browser's "help" or settings. Your visit will simply run more smoothly with cookies on.
